Dan’s practice focuses on the day-to-day operation of companies in the areas of commercial transactions, IP licensing and general corporate matters as a trusted legal and business advisor. His experience includes litigation management, IP portfolio management, HR advice and guidance and other in-house legal support. Prior to Inceptiv, Dan was SVP, General Counsel at Nortek Security & Control LLC, a multi-national technology company and manufacturer in the home control and IoT space. Before that, Dan was General Counsel at San Diego-based DivX, the pioneering video codec company. Dan’s legal career started in the San Diego office of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP, now DLA Piper, in their Intellectual Property Licensing Group.
